Hi Robert.
There is a text file that tells TD which files to copy to your data store when you launch TD. You can edit this file and remove all entries that you do not want copied. It has been a while since I have modified mine and can't remember 100% if the one listed below is the right one.
Navigate to your Tournament Director 3 folder on your C drive and in the lib folder you should see a dataStore text file. In that file you can remove all the files you do not want copied to your data store

Hi Corey.
This is one of the farthest from an important topic. When I import players from a csv, the import dialog always points to an invalid directory. Can I change the default here so I don't have to browse?

On one of my machines running the latest TD, the screen transitions were turned off but each screen would be on screen 7-12 seconds. TD would be over 1000MB in RAM used after a bit and I would either get a "out of memery" error message or a black screen and TD would freeze. I changed my layout so that only one screen was displayed (with flash animation) and I am on several days with TD running no higher than 300MB

Hi there,
You will need to create a new screen set and you can name it "Final Table" (name it what you want". From there you can click on Conditions where you can set the conditions for your final table. You will have to add the screen you want to the right pane (Screens)

Gonna add my two cents...
I have TD running on 2 computers (both W10). I do all the usual on one and on the other I am currently using it to display information on a tv screen for my players (upcoming events, entry cost etc). It is on this second machine where TD gets the black screen (and sometimes white). I get the out of memory message and the attached screen cap popped up tonight and oddly I couldn't even kill TD through the Task Manager (a reboot was needed). My first machine sometimes runs into a problem when I send receipts to my Epson. I have to shut down TD and my printer before they work properly again, but this is a minor issue as I rarely have this happen once the clock is running.

As a side note, my main machine that doesn't run into memory problems is a T7500 Xeon with 18GB of RAM. My other machine that crashes is an Intel Core2 with 4GB of RAM

Tonight (dec 12) my w10 did an update. after restarting TD would not run. It would shut down with an error message about language files. I re-installed TD to no avail. I removed the first of 3 updates installed (don't recall which one (not adobe flash update)) and TD ran fine again.

Hi Corey and all others.
I am experiencing an annoying problem that isn't a major problem. When I buy-in multiple names at once (auto-print enabled fro TD) there are often one or more receipts that do not print (any receipts not printed are then printed by going to the Transactions dialog).
Is this a Windows issue or is this a TD issue?

It appears that TD sends the right amount of print jobs to Windows (but i may be wrong). The Print dialog appears to open the same amount of print jobs being sent by TD (but i may be wrong there too). And, often one or more fail to print.

I do not have any backup restoration programs installed. But as I write this i thought about W7 and Previous Versions. I checked on the Previous versions Tab for my TD folder where my pref.sav is and I found multiple entries for one day. I wonder if Windows is reverting that to an earlier version on its own. I am going to turn it off and see what happens after restarting it (can't do it until later)

Preferences not being saved include:
1 - Paid in Full checked by default
2 - Buy in players Now checked by defaut
3 - Auto-Seat checked by default
4 - Enable auto print
5 - Buy-in Receipt Template (oddly, it reverts to an older template I used)
6 - Rebuy Receipt Template
There may be others but these are the ones I have to reset to my preferences after loading TD.

How do I go about creating/editing this file? It would be great to have my TD preferences identical on both machines
